The Secret of NIMH
Martin sez: "As usual,
this page is eternally under construction." :-)
| MIDI FILES! |
I have received yet another MIDI file! Thanks go out again to David Luke for his version of Jeremy's theme music:
David Luke's theme music for Jeremy
The Secret of NIMH theme song:
Dan Ritchie's version
Amy Lynn Price's version
David Luke's version
| Here is my own version, still heavily under construction. (I will finish it one day! :-) I only have a patchwork of tracks completed, and I haven't done any of the dynamics or pitchbends yet. Plus, I still have some chordwork to complete on the sections that do have notes, and I haven't finalized the list of instruments. (Last updated on 6/1/97) |
| NAME THE MYSTERY MOUSE RESULTS! |
Well, my poll took a lot longer to complete than I thought it would. :-)
Here are the results of all the votes I received, in the order I first received them:
| Young Mr. Ages | 2 |
| Martin | 9 |
| Unknown character/Not in film | 6 |
| Johnathan | 5 |
| Mrs. Brisby | 6 |
| Nicodemus | 1 |
| Timothy | 4 |
| Justin | 2 |
| Teresa | 1 |
| Cynthia | 2 |
And the winner is....Martin! Frankly, I'm surprised. I thought for sure most people would have thought it was Johnathan. I was also amazed by the wide range of characters people voted for. Some of the more interesting votes for "Unknown/Characters Not Seen in the Film" include Racso (which would really be amazing since the sequel book didn't come out till 1986 :-), Gus from Cinderella, and Jenny (from the sequel film).
Thanks to everyone who participated in the poll!
| THE SECRET OF NIMH 2 - A DETAILED REVIEW |
I have seen the sequel,
and if I had one word to sum up the entire film, it would be the
word hollow. The characters come off as
hollow representations of their former selves, the story is
hollow compared to the original, and the artwork isn't anything
to get excited about.

the left or here to go to my review now!
Note: The review contains major spoilers for the sequel, so if
you haven't seen it yet and want to be surprised, you might want
to hold off reading it for now.

Lyrics to "Flying Dreams" Lullabye (Written by Paul
Williams, sung by Sally Stevens)
| Dream by night Wish by day Love begins this way. Night's a friend With love to send Each new day. Bless your heart Bless your soul Let your dreams come true! Future songs And flying dreams Wait for you. Love, it seems Made flying dreams So hearts Could soar. Heaven sent These wings were meant To prove Once more That love is the key.... |
(instrmental section) As you wish |
Lyrics to "Flying Dreams" (Written by Paul Williams, sung by Paul Williams)
| Dream by night Wish by day Love begins this way. Loving starts When open hearts Touch, and stay. Sleep for now Dreaming's how Lover's lives are planned. Future songs And flying dreams, Hand, in hand. |
Love it seems Made flying dreams So hearts, could soar. Heaven sent These wings were meant To prove, once more. That love is the key.... Love is the key. You and I Touch the sky The eagle and the dove. Nightingales We keep our sails Filled with love. And love it seems Made flying dreams, To bring you home to me.... |
(Instrumental section)
|
You and I Touch the sky The eagle and the dove. Nightingales We keep our sails Filled with love. Ever strong Our future song, To sing it must be free. Ev'ry part Is from the heart, And love is still the key. And love it seems Made flying dreams To bring you home to me.... |
