New This Week

Get Rich Or Die Tryin' starring Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Terrence Howard, Joy Bryant  (B)

(Released Wednesday 11/9/05)

"A successful film debut for 50 Cent as he stars in the film based on his life from director Jim Sheridan.  Not the best of its genre, but very well made.."

Jarhead featuring Jake Gyllenhal, Peter Sarsgaard and Jamie Foxx  (B)

"Jarhead does a great job of following Gyllenhal's character through his military experience without being overly preachy.  The intensity of experience is there and the actors that were cast are perfect fits.  Not the best war movie, but definitely worth a look."

Chicken Little featuring the voice of Zach Braff  (B-)

"This was decidely OK, not great...not awful...just OK.  I felt they tried to rely too much on newer music that didn't need to be used.  And the alien based plot (Remember:  The Sky is Falling), might scare the youngest of kids (under 5).  I had higher expectations on this, but maybe on repeat viewings it will pick up."
