Rating: R

Studio site: Addicted to Love

Stars: Meg Ryan, Matthew Broderick, Kelly Preston, and Tcheky Karyo

Meg Ryan and Matthew Broederick star in this modern day love story of
two people that meet in New York as they search for their jilted lovers.
Matthew Broderick is Sam, an astronomer from a small town that has
come to New York to win back his girlfriend Linda (Kelly Preston)
from a man who has won her heart. Meg Ryan plays Maggie,
a rebel photographer who is out for revenge against her old boyfriend
Anton (Tcheky Karyo)who just happens to be Linda's new guy.
Since both Sam and Maggie have a common directive, they join forces
with the intent of breaking up Anton and Linda. What ensues is a
delightful comedy of errors. Though Sam and Maggie think they are
making all the right moves in their attempted sabotage, their efforts
tend to all go for naught.

Anyone who has had a relationship end can feel all the feelings that flow
through this film. I found myself laughing on an on during the movie and
enjoyed the interaction between the characters. This is a fun date movie as
both the male and female characters take their turns in trying to dismantle
the relationship. I would recommend it to those who are looking for a good
comedy. It is one of the better comedies to come out in the last year.

Grade: B+

Parents Guide:
This film is rated R for a reason. It includes
numerous sexual references and language. Parents should realize
that this film probably deserves this rating and use it as a guide.
