I'm not sure why I'm compelled to paint Tractors
Aside from the fact that I grew up on a farm and I love Wisconsin, they just fascinate me. But I think they also illustrate my point that the subject matter for a painting is really unimportant. When I look at a tractor, I don't necessarily see a Farmall or a John Deere, I see shapes, space and colors.
